OUR FOUNDER
Lucinda October - Founder & Director
She was born and raised in Gamble, Uitenhage. She matriculated from Harvest Christian School and thereafter graduated with a Diploma in Human Resource Management. Subsequent to that she worked in the corporate sector as a manager.
After facing and recovering from a traumatic incident, God opened her eyes to see the needs of the people in her community. Her heart was immediately drawn to the children in need. She then shared this concern with those around her and rallied a small group of them to join her outreach to an orphanage in the area.
Later, the passion grew, resulting in the establishment of a Non-Profit Organization. In 2018 The Father's Heart Foundation was founded.
Today the Foundation is established in the community, has relationships with schools, churches, businesses and other like-minded organizations.
She is supported by her loving husband, Recardo and their two sons, Cayleb and Darion who are all willingly involved in the Foundation.

OUR VOLUNTEERS
We are privileged to have a group of volunteers who have a passion for the community, want to give hope, be a role model and share the gospel.
They freely give of their time, resources and expertise to serve the needs of the community. The group ranges from high school students to pastors, educators, registered counselors, ocupational therapists, dietitians and other working professionals.
The Foundation provides the volunteers a platform to serve in whatever gifting they have and support them. As our volunteers serve, the Foundation aims to provide practical and spiritual enirchment as well as upskilling them through training & development.

OUR COMMUNITY
We primarily serve the community of Blikkiesdorp in Kariega. Even though it is a small community, it is one of the oldest and most impoverished in the area.
Currently we have a relationship with the St. Joseph's Primary School, which acts as our entry into the families in the community.
This is the hub of our work and we hope to see visible change come to the entire community.
